I love shooting couples. I haven’t had many opportunities to shoot couples boudoir but I always thought it would be fun. I just haven’t pursued it because I’d want to keep my style pretty tame. More along the lines of a fashion look. And I fear having clients who might want to push the borders beyond what I’m looking to do. But I really enjoyed the chance to shoot Jen and Max at the Stripped Down Workshop in Las Vegas with Modern Love Photography and I’d love to do some more shoots in this style. Their hair and makeup was done by Ashlyn Taylor. Jen and Max and married and they are both photographers. They volunteered to model for us, which was great because they did such a great job. I loved shooting with them.
Often when boudoir photographers shoot couples boudoir, they focus on the lady with the guy being just an accessory for her. But guys like to feel sexy, too, and have images that make them look great. So Denise Birdsong inspired us in the workshop to create emotion on our images by coaching both the guy and the girl to have expression and body language.
